The NFL Conference Championships kick off this Sunday with two spots in Super Bowl 54 on the line. The Kansas City Chiefs are favorites to win it all at +130 and are set as 7.5-point favourites for their AFC Championship game at Arrowhead Stadium against the Tennessee Titans. The Titans have gotten hot at the right time and are popular underdog bet this week. They are 5-0 against the spread in their last five road games and haven’t allowed more than 14 points in their last three games overall. Tennessee is the biggest Super Bowl long shot on the board at +650.
In the NFC, the San Francisco 49ers were set as 7.5-point favourites at home against the Green Bay Packers, but that line has moved to Niners -7 with about 55 percent of the betting action coming in on the road team. San Francisco steamrolled the Packers 37-8 at Levi Stadium back in Week 2, but this team has had trouble covering the spread at home for a while. The Niners are 7-19-1 against the spread in their last 27 as a home favourite. Green Bay’s Super Bowl odds check in at +600 while San Francisco sits at +150.
Fight fans have been waiting for a long time to see Conor McGregor back in the Octagon, but this weekend’s main event bout against Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone could be worth the wait. McGregor was set as a -215 favourite at the open but solid betting support moved that line to -310 before it dipped a bit to -295 three days before the bout. A Notorious knockout is the favourite for Method of Victory paying -175.
The Toronto Raptors deserve a lot of credit for hanging on to second spot in the Atlantic Division despite playing with a roster decimated from injuries. They have dropped four of their last five against the spread but help is on the way. Pascal Siakam returned to the lineup in Sunday’s loss and Marc Gasol could play this week. The Dinos defence has held strong through the injuries and Siakam and Gasol should give the offence a spark. Toronto supporters could have some good spots coming up with five of the Raps’ next seven games coming on the road.
