World Cup Gambling Guide

The wait is soon to be over as it’s just a week before the World Cup roars into life. This is an exciting time for everyone involved in soccer be it the players who will be participating, the fans who travelled to support their team in Russia and the fans who will be showing their support back at home, pundits and punters.

With the football extravaganza set to bring about all top teams in the world, let’s look at how some of the top teams are likely to fare at the World Cup. You too can have your say by visiting MrBit Casino where you can place your bets.

Brazil

Brazil is travelling to the World Cup as the hot favorite to lift the World Cup trophy at the end of the tournament. It’s not very difficult to see why Brazil is highly rated by many pundits and sportsbooks as it is full of world class players in every department. In goal, Brazil has two of the best goalkeepers in Alison of Roma and Ederson of Manchester City. In defence, Brazil can call upon Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Danilo, and Marcelo while in midfield the likes of Fernandinho, Casemiro, Paulinho, Philippe Coutinho, Willian, and Fred will give Brazil manager Tite a selection headache. Up front, talisman Neymar will probably lead the line flanked by Gabriel Jesus and red-hot Roberto Firmino. The biggest challenge however for Brazil will be experience, none of these Brazilian players has at national team level lifted a major trophy. We just have to wait and see how they cope with the pressure in Russia.

Expected finish- Finalists

Germany

Reigning champions Germany are also high up there with Brazil. Germany, unlike Brazil, will look upon the experienced players to propel them to glory. This is not to say that Germany isn’t as talented as this Brazilian team as the exclusion of Leroy Sane in the World Cup squad shows how much talent Germany possesses. However, it will be the experienced heads of players such as Manuel Neuer, Jerome Boateng, Toni Kroos, Sami Khedira, Mesut Ozil and Thomas Mueller that Germany fans will be pinning their hopes on. Germany thrives playing as a collective unit rather than depending on top players to win them games on their own and if this Germany team plays as such, then a second consecutive World Cup trophy is certainly a possibility for Joachim Low and his team.

Expected finish- Finalists

Spain

Some eight years back, Spain made history by winning three major trophies on the bounce including the World Cup hosted by South Africa. However, after Euro 2012, Spain went on a slight decline and did not perform according to expectations in the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Everything is now starting to fall into place for the Spanish team now and if the team can start on a high in Russia, then this Spanish team may as well surprise a few people. 2010 World Cup winners in the squad such as Sergio Ramos, Sergio Busquets and Gerard Pique will have to be the leaders of this current Spain team.

Expected finish- Semi-finalists
